About Alex

Hi there! I'm Alex Raymond, a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian & Approved Supervisor and business coach. Thanks so much for visiting my website. I am so excited to support you with your business and clinical supervision goals.

All I know is private practice.

I started working at a private practice straight out of my dietetic internship with the goal of someday owning my own business. In January 2020, I knew it was time to take the leap. I wasn't unhappy at my current position. But I knew I wanted something more.

I wanted to own a practice that was 100% Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating aligned. At my first job, I felt like my true, authentic values were not represented and I wanted the ability to support clients in eating disorder recovery in a way that felt true to me. So, Bobbi Boteler, my business partner, and I opened Courage to Nourish Nutrition on January 16, 2020.

It was absolutely terrifying. But I haven't looked back. Within a year, our practice grew tremendously. Bobbi and I hired 2 full time dietitians and 2 part time dietitians. It was then I realized my passion for supervising dietitians and coaching. I want to empower other dietitian entrepreneurs to find success in their own business goals.

I love talking business. And I believe every dietitian who wants to become an entrepreneur should feel secure, confident, and empowered when they take the steps to owning a business. My skillset includes supporting dietitians with starting a practice, marketing their practice and their practice's message, discussing nitty gritty business details, strategic planning to grow a business, and brainstorming how to streamline day to day tasks.

Not only do I offer business coaching, but I also offer supervision for dietitians who are hoping to improve their counseling skills and discuss challenging client cases. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Dietitian and Approved Supervisor through iaedp. Supervision with me "counts" toward the 21 supervised hours you would need if you're working toward your CEDRD Certification. Supervision is something that has always been super valuable as an eating disorder dietitian.

I am a Health at Every Size and intuitive eating aligned dietitian, so it's important to note, my coaching recommendations and clinical supervision sessions are through that lens. Whether you are working with eating disorders or doing more clinical work, I would be more than thrilled to discuss how you can assure your business and counseling techniques are aligned with the HAES principles!
